Newcastle

Hi all I apologise in advance for all the mistakes. I am using a French keyboard and all the letters are in the wrong place!! NO I am NOT in Frqncz, not yet anyway, at the moment I am in Newcastle in the North of England. York was lovely - I had a great time wondering around.

I walked part of Hadrian's Wall today. It was beautiful but I managed to get myself compleatly soaked!! My so called waterproof shoes were filled with water! But we (Han a girl I met in the hostel) had a great time rain or no rain. We also visited Chester's Roman fort and houses. We walked 4 miles, around 7kilometres, in the pouring rain. The best bit was that for a little while you can actually walk on the wall!!!!!! It is SOOOOOO cool! Something that was made almost 2000 years ago in AD122. It is amazing to see the wall stretching ever on over the horizon winding its way through the countryside onwards and onwards into the haze. The entire wall goes for 73 miles coast to coast. We met some walkers that were doing the whole path in 7 days. In fact it would be lovely to walk it if it was not raining. As it was I was very happy to get back to my hostel and have a very long warm shower.

As I said before I had a great time in Ireland. Some of the National Parks are just amazing. I got to do some horse riding around one park for a morning which was great. I also went and gave the Blarney Stone a kiss so now I am meant to possess the ablilty to talk my way in or out of any situation.
I had a great time watching the Euro Cup final - everyone was so happy when Germany lost.

Ok I better go.
Love you all heaps.
I hope to hear from you soon.
Love Acushla.
